Tiffany Hogan Appointed Through Kansas City Appointments Project

Congratulations to Tiffany Hogan on her appointment to the Kansas City Board of Zoning Adjustment! Hogan is the 15th woman to earn an appointment on a board or commission through the Women’s Foundation Appointments Project since its launch last year. Read more.
The Appointments Project is currently recruiting for positions in St. Louis, Kansas City, MO, and the State of Missouri. New Advances On Missouri Capitol Intern Policies

Last week, Missouri Speaker of the House Todd Richardson released new Capitol intern policies. Women’s Foundation was a partner in developing these policies. Here’s Wendy Doyle’s statement:
“The Women’s Foundation commends Speaker Richardson’s efforts to address inappropriate behavior towards Capitol interns. Speaker Richardson and the Women’s Foundation listened to Missouri women, incorporated their ideas, and remains committed to changing the culture of the Capitol. We are supportive of the General Assembly’s continued work to create an environment where all interns have an equal opportunity to learn and succeed.” Read the full statement.

Statement from Wendy Doyle on Governor Nixon’s Executive Order 15-06

On Wednesday, October 26, Wendy Doyle released a statement commending Governor Nixon on his executive order to promote diversity in state government contracting.
“The Women’s Foundation commends Governor Nixon for working to remove barriers for women and minority business owners in order to promote equity and improve our economy.” Read the full statement.

Members of our Girls Leadership Program met on October 21 to engage in our "Discovering Philanthropy, Civic Engagement, & Leadership" training hosted by Cottey College. We would like to thank Cottey for their wonderful programming and all of our Girls Leadership members for making this a memorable event.
