Statement from Wendy Doyle on Committee Hearing Regarding Changes to the House Intern and Sexual Harassment Policies

Jefferson City, MO – Wendy Doyle, President & CEO of the Women’s Foundation, today released the following statement regarding the Missouri House Administration and Accounts Committee’s hearing on proposed policies for Capitol interns and sexual harassment:

“Working with House Speaker Todd Richardson to improve the Capitol culture for interns, legislative staff, and elected officials was a thoughtful and productive process.

If enacted, we believe these new policies will be a good first step toward improving the Capitol culture. We are supportive of the General Assembly’s efforts to address reform, and we will remain diligent in our work of removing barriers that keep women from achieving their full economic and leadership potential.”
