Paid Family Leave

One important policy step we can take to economically empower more women is to expand access to paid family and medical leave. United WE believes women’s issues are both economic and family issues, and we must not be lulled into the false choice of having strong businesses or strong families.

To put this change into action, United WE worked with the University of Missouri Institute of Public Policy to commission a research study on the status of Paid Family Leave in Missouri and across the country. Currently, we are working with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to put this research into action and support legislation that expands paid family and medical leave.
