United WE’s Appointments Project® was established to destroy the outdated assumption that women are not qualified, available, or interested in civic service. They tackle gender inequity on boards and commissions by equipping women to confidently navigate the appointment process at the city, county, and state level. They collaborate with elected officials to create systems-level change while making the appointment process more transparent.
